Today I meet with a mentor to get feedback on the biz and our direction at the Entrepreneur Center in Nashville.

In the past, one thing I’ve lacked in my business experience has been solid Mentorship and a business team. Though I made a bit of money, sold a company and had some success, I probably could have avoided some mistakes with ‘wise counsel.’

At this point I feel like I’m filling in some gaps to reach the 1M objective within 1 year.

Why am I up at 7am on a Saturday morning?? The startUP biz guy in me wants to do some work. That SU guy shoots for commitment in his activity. Good for him!

I, on the other hand, want to encourage him to calm down. It’s Saturday bruh!
But as a mentor of mine once said, ‘The price for success must be paid up front and in full.’

54 days…. and national recognition

54 days since I resigned from Comcast Business and we’ve been featured on a National Call with Master Agency Telarus. Take a look at the quick interview below.

More IT partners coming on board and many more to call > leads from networking groups. We are adding on average 3 new IT referral partners per group to our network. This is strong. Period. 12 to 1M in 1 year. GOYA.

New Customers w/ UNSi and Charter Business 2day

Weakley Business Services in Clarksville, TN just signed on today as our newest Charter Business Customer. and Yesterday we signed our first customer on with UNSi.

This morning had a BNI meeting in Murfreesboro, then a 121 with Larry Curtis who gave me a couple of IT referrals. Thx bro! Headed home to handle some paperwork only to get a call from Joann with Weakley Business Services in Clarksville saying she’s ready to sign up on the Charter deal but I must come up to Clarksville b/c she doesnt do email… being that she’s an antique and all. Yes I went to Clarksville and got that deal.

Besides the fact that I put numerous miles on my car today, I am mo’ tired than a slave ship.

Single parenthood is in full effect of course. Picked up Miles from school at 5 then headed home to cook, help with homework, complete some paperwork and fell out before Scandal came on. Woke up and now have a bit of energy to handle some things.

I have at least 15 calls to make tomorrow before 12 and have 2 meetings before 12. How is that going to happen. I gotta get this one to 1 million though.

Company is currently at roughly 11k per month in revenue. Of course the objective is to get to 83,333/month in revenue by August 25, 2014. Tracking daily.

I actually started Mitech about 3 months before I left my job but officially August 25 when I turned in resignation. Yes, I left the plantation for freedom… which has some relevance to me being African American. Running away from slavery was of course forbidden 200 years ago. But so was thinking outside of the same old box. So frog leaped as my son would say and made it happen. And about 35 days in, i own a company with over $10,000 in monthly revenue. Continue this for 12 months and we’ll be over 1.2M in annual revenue.

Oh but still updating the business plan. So the story is I already knew how to make money in this business. So I started doing that first. Mainly because I like to eat, have a son who likes to eat and several other responsible adult reasons. The biz plan will come. Then I can show it to someone who’s made something huge of themselves and see what they think. Not really needing funding right now. Just want to be on point in terms of direction, focus, clarity and strategy.

What do I do? I’m in Telecom. Details later.
